Helping People Transform Their Health Through The Power Of Food
Â
For more than two decades, I have dedicated my career to helping people better understand the powerful relationship between food and health.
Throughout that time, I have worked as a nutritional therapist, author, broadcaster, educator and chef, always driven by a simple belief: that food has the potential to be one of the most powerful tools we possess for supporting long-term health and wellbeing.
What began as a personal fascination with nutrition has evolved into a lifelong mission to translate complex health science into practical, accessible and enjoyable solutions that people can apply in everyday life.
Whether through books, television, public speaking, educational programmes or live experiences, my goal has always remained the same: to help people understand not only what to eat, but why it matters.
Â
How it all started....
Like many people who find their way into the world of health and nutrition, my journey began with my own health struggles.
For me, it was acne. Not the odd spot here and there, but severe acne that began when I was around ten or eleven years old. It arrived at exactly the wrong time — that awkward transition between primary school and secondary school, when you're suddenly becoming aware of yourself, how you look, and where you fit in amongst your peers.
Over the years, I saw every doctor, dermatologist and specialist imaginable. I tried creams, lotions, medications and treatments. Some helped a little, most didn't, but none of them addressed the problem in any meaningful way.
Then, when I was fifteen years old, something happened that would ultimately change the course of my life.
One evening, while sitting around at a friend's house feeling thoroughly sorry for myself, his mum handed me a book. It was Fit for Life by Harvey Diamond. As she gave it to me, she said something that sounded completely ridiculous to my fifteen-year-old self:
"Unless you change what's going on on the inside, nothing will change on the outside."
To be honest, I thought she'd lost the plot. But I was also desperate enough to try anything. That weekend I read the book cover to cover, and something clicked.
For the first time, I realised that I wasn't simply a passive recipient of healthcare. I could actively participate in my own wellbeing. The choices I made every day could influence how I looked, how I felt and how my body functioned. That idea was a genuine lightbulb moment. From that point onwards, I became my own experiment.
I tried every dietary approach I could find. Some were sensible, some were questionable, and some were downright bizarre. I changed the way I ate, the way I lived and the way I thought about health. I read obsessively, questioned everything and became fascinated by the relationship between food and the human body. That fascination never really left.
In fact, it grew into a career. I didn't take the most direct route. At school, I was far more interested in the rave scene and pirate radio than academia. While my teachers were hoping I'd focus on my studies, I was generally more interested in repetitive music, flashing lights, building transmitters and finding the next party.
Eventually, however, I found my direction. I went to university later than many of my peers and completed a degree in Human Nutrition, followed by a degree in Herbal Medicine and later a Master's Degree in Nutritional Medicine at The University of Surrey.
Alongside all of this, there was another lifelong passion that had always been present: food. I've been cooking for as long as I can remember. Over time, those two worlds naturally came together.
Today, my work sits at the intersection of nutritional medicine and the kitchen. I take the science, the physiology, the clinical application and the evidence, and translate it into something people can actually use in everyday life — breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Because whilst understanding health is important, it is what happens on the plate that ultimately changes lives.
And that journey all began with someones well-meaning mother, one book, and a fifteen-year-old boy who was willing to try something different.
The Journey So Far
What began as a teenage fascination with the connection between food and health would ultimately grow into a career spanning nutritional medicine, publishing, broadcasting, education and public speaking.
Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of helping people better understand the role that food can play in supporting long-term health, translating complex nutritional science into practical advice that people can apply in everyday life.
Through television, radio, books, live events and educational programmes, my mission has remained remarkably consistent: to empower people to take a more active role in their own health through evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine.
Along the way, that mission has led to some incredible opportunities, collaborations and experiences.

Moments From That Journey
The last two decades have been pretty insane. It has been my privilege to share the message that food really is a powerful medicine across so many platforms and in so many ways. Â
These images capture just a few moments from that journey.
So...What's Next?
The funny thing is that after more than two decades working in nutrition, I feel as excited about the future as I did when I first picked up that book as a teenager.
The conversation around health is evolving rapidly. Concepts such as longevity, healthspan, preventative healthcare and personalised wellness are moving from the fringes into the mainstream, and food remains one of the most powerful tools we have for influencing how we age, perform and thrive.
Today, my work is increasingly focused on bringing nutritional medicine to life through immersive experiences, media, education and strategic partnerships.
Whether that's working with luxury wellness brands, hospitality groups, longevity clinics, retreat operators, media platforms or global organisations, my goal remains exactly the same as it has always been:
To help people understand the extraordinary impact that food can have on health.
The methods may evolve.
The mission never changes.
I'm incredibly proud of the journey so far, but if I'm honest, it feels like the most exciting chapter is only just beginning.
