About Me...

Dale Pinnock

Nutritionist, Sunday Times Best Selling Author, Presenter & Broadcaster.

I have had the good fortune to be in the nutrition industry for 26 years. I saw its roots and have been a fundamental part of its growth and blossoming here in the UK. Like many, I found nutrition due to my own health issues. From the age of 10 I started getting really bad acne, and visited every specialist imaginable. I tried every lotion and potion be it prescription or over the counter. Nothing really made much difference. When I was 15 I was given a book called 'Fit For Life' and told 'you have to change what is on the inside'. I read this thing cover to cover and that was it. Hooked! I read over 1000 books. tried EVERY diet you can think of. Put myself in hospital twice (that's a story for another day haha), and quite literally became obsessed. By the time I hit 22 and after not really having much of a sense of direction in life, I ended up going to University. I studied a BSc in Human Nutrition and a second BSc in Herbal Medicine at the University of Westminster. Then after a few years in practice I went on to do a Post Graduate Degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey.

Fast forward a good few years and here I am. I have managed to forge a solid standing in my beloved industry. I am a Sunday Times best selling author of 18 books that are published in 19 languages in 22 countries. I am a regular spokesperson on nutrition and health in the British media and am regularly on shows such as ITV's This Morning, Lorraine, and am a presenter on ITV's hit consumer show 'Eat Shop Save'. I am a regular on radio and have often featured on the likes of Steve Wright in the Afternoon on BBC Radio 2, Chris Evans Show on Virgin Radio, talkRADIO, BBC Three Counties and more.

I have one purpose. To bring you accessible, understandable, evidence based information on nutrition so that you can take back control of your health!

Demystifying good nutrition

One of my greatest missions is to break down the barriers that stand between people and good nutrition. In this World of falsehoods, contradictory headlines, fad and fashion, so many people are just totally confused about what to eat day to day.

I have cooked all of my life, literally from the age of 4 and whilst studying did every job in the restaurant trade from pot wash to head chef. Now I take my lifetime in the kitchen and combine it with my academic background in nutrition to actually SHOW people what to do, to prove how simple it is and to break down the barriers that many people have. I can show you that good nutrition is easy, delicious, affordable, and has the profound ability to positively impact health.

I have been fortunate enough to showcase this passion in my 18 books and on ITV's 'Eat Shop Save'.

Good nutrition is simple and should be achievable by all.
