Mesothelioma treatments and information have been all over the international press in recent months, along with a whole host of scare stories associated with it.
Mesothelioma is a tumour that arises within the mesothelium, which is the protective outer lining of our internal organs.
What hasnt been identified in the press is potential natural treatments for mesothelioma. The main one in question here would be maitake mushroom - a winner in most cancer cases.
Maitake mushroom has the ability to dramatically increase the production of a white blood cell known as a Natural Killer cell (NK Cell). These cells are the only cells within the immune system that can specifically identify and target cancerous growths. They can also prevent metastasis.
Maitake can also drastically increase the levels of certain compounds such as tumour necrosis factor, which can help to reduce tumour growth.
