Hello Forum posters…
I have just managed to order the 2 main food books, so really looking forward to them arriving.
My diet is not a diet as such as I really hate the very thought of dieting – I cunjure up images of eating only a salad leaf and having a yoghurt (if your good) on a Sunday – grrr… so unnatural isn't it.
I like the whole idea of simply having the knowledge and fitting this into your normal routine of eating. Not only do i love veg and great food, whatever it is, but by replacing certain standard things in the kitchen I also inflict them on other people too… for example, my salt is Himalayan.. is it better, who knows, but I believe it is. My vinegar bottle holds apple cider..
I use honey (and now maybe the stevia sugar) where I think I can replace normal sugar… that kind of thing.
I have coconut oil in the cupboard along with olive oil – even though I'd be lying if I said I didn't like a smidgin of butter on a jacket spud!
I still eat meat, but a lot less and prefer fish now. I make loads of soups and love wholesome food like stews etc too. I slip just a tiny bit of barley-grass into smoothies without people knowing and am a believer in supplements, but prefer what we call super foods and have fads of these.
My kids say they are going to have 'thats good for you' etched on my gravestone – however, they are all fit as fiddles and never ail – so I must have done something right.
However – I just can't help being normal too and love everything that is bad for me and enjoy nothing more than a fine dining treat even though I know they pop cream into everything to make it yummy…. but we are conditioned aren't we?
So, food-wise that's me – I don't 100% practice what I preach but I love to know – that way, we can include all this great stuff into our diet and hopefully get the benefits.
I saw Dale on TV and have only just had time to get the books ordered, and I am so excited. Thanks for bringing this knowledge to the forefront – i do believe it is important and cannot wait to learn from them.
